Understanding the Role of Self-Compassion in Managing Compassion Fatigue

Objectives and Goals of Module 2

Goal: Participants will increase self-compassion behavior in their everyday lives, ultimately improving their personal and professional well-being and protecting them from developing compassion fatigue.

After the Session, participants will be able to: 

  1. Define and identify components of self-compassion

  2. Explain the role of self-compassion in mitigating compassion fatigue

  3. Examine and appraise existing levels of self-compassion

  4. Generate and explain methods in developing a self-compassionate mindset

  5. Actualize self-compassion skills through completion of self-compassion activity
