Mindfulness: Skill Building and Practical Application

Objectives and Goals of Module 3

Goal: To underscore the importance of mindfulness practice to increase holistic health, while teaching participants to apply mindfulness skills to their everyday life. 


After the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe and explain mindfulness- including core components and concepts of mindful practices and common misconceptions/barriers to practice 

  2. Explain the holistic health benefits of practicing mindfulness, especially emotional/behavioral health benefits 

  3. Recognize factors that impact mindfulness practice, including time, setting, and type of mindfulness practice 

  4. Demonstrate mindfulness skills through guided mindfulness session
